The farmer grows a special red Arabica variety, Bourbon, in the warm tropical sunlight and rich volcanic soils of northern Rwanda. Surrounded by natural tropical rainforest, this 155-hectare coffee plantation of 380,000 trees, located at an altitude of 1800-2000 m, is located on the mountainside and close to the beautiful Lake Muhazi. The beans are hand-picked by local farmers who use traditional methods of processing the beans, ensuring that they retain their natural taste and aroma, after roasting the coffee reveals a full-bodied taste and boldness that coffee lovers crave.
Like all African coffees, Rwanda coffees have a pronounced, pleasant acidity that creates a feeling of a cool African night. Rwanda INZIRA NATURAL coffee has undergone a natural drying process, during which the beans are enriched with sugars. This loading of the kernel with a lot of sugars, mutes the acidity, which remains in the background. Aromas of liqueur develop, a subtle feeling of an alcoholic beverage, of course without containing alcohol, only subtle flavors.
The aromas in the coffee hint at red fruits, plum, raspberry, dark chocolate
The flavor profile is clean and sweet with notes of dark chocolate, raisins, blueberries and tangerine
Rwanda INZIRA NATURAL is suitable for short coffee, Chemex and V60.
